Shear Force | Bending Moment | Relation between shear force, Bending Moment and Loading Rate |
Shear Force
Shear force is the internal force applied at any section to convert the free body diagram into force equilibrium either to the left of section or to the right of the section in Transverse direction ( Lateral Direction).
Or
The shear force at any section is the summation of all the transverse forces either to the left of section or to the right of the section.
Bending Moment
The bending moment at any section is the internal moment applied at that section to convert the free body diagram into moment equilibrium either to left of the section or to the right of the section.
Or
The bending moment at any section is the summation of all the moments, either to the left of the section or to the right of the section.
Note-
Sign convention of bending moment may be explain as, if the reference face gets compress than it is said to be positive & if the reference face gets tensile than it is said to be Negative.
Generally the reference face is that face on which load is applied. The reference face should be continuous for whole body.
